Match report Spalding arrived in Cambridge with a determined attitude. During the first half they battled hard, producing well worked play. Spalding Men’s 2s entertained Cambridge University’s Men’s 3s at Glen Park in the first home fixture of the season hoping to secure their first points of the season. A young Spalding team side played Newmarket and unfortunately lost 11-0. It was a good performance from Simon Goode, who got player of the match, but also goal keeper Eddie Sawyer, who made some quality saves against the opposition.
