Spalding Ladies 1’s traveled to Peterborough for a 4pm push back to commence the season. The game started strong with spalding having a lot of possession and opportunities on goal. Peterboroughs quick attack worked well as they won a short corner which was deflected past the keeper to make it 1-0. Spalding were determined to get a goal before half time with great play down the wings form Tabitha and Kate they delivered lots of crosses which were not converted. The first half ended 1-0. After a good team talk Spalding started the second half with a positive mindset. Peterborough again attacked Spalding defence hard and managed to plot another past the keeper. After some great play between the defence and midfield Lauren S got the ball into the D and passed to Jess hammered home a goal. The finally 10 minutes saw both teams fighting hard to score another but both unsuccessful. The game ended 2-1 to Peterborough.
