Spalding ladies 1s were looking for a positive start to 2024 in our way was cambs south 3s the game started with high intensity with spalding having most of the ball and creating attacking chances with Ellie holland having strikes at goal but no luck but a great run form player of the match Lauren Spenceley going through defenders spalding finally found the goal spalding kept going with attack after attack then wining a short corner which was converted by Ellie Holland after a lovely 1-2 with Georgina Maplethorpe spalding then scored another goal by Lauren Harvey the first half came to an end 3-0 spalding we’re determined to get more goals and after another attack form great play in the midfield by Georgina and Jess ball who sent the ball to Ellie were she looked to cross the ball and found Erin Mcmurry to make it 4-0 after this cambs started to get more involved into the game and looked to press spalding defence but after great tackles and clearances by Pippa Bembriadge and Evie Maltby Cambs south found the goal spalding continued to attack but had no luck the game end 4-1
