Spalding 3s hosted City of Peterborough 6s with a Spalding starting of the better team with Ben Scholes scoring first to make it 1-0. Peterborough quickly responded to make it 1-1. Spalding won a penalty flick which Graeme Matthews smartly converted get Spalding on front again. Tim Amess doubled the lead to 3-1 just before half time. 

Peterborough got a goal back to make it 3-2 and piled even more pressure on to get an equaliser but Spalding countered Peterboroughs high press with Charlie Smith touching around the goalkeeper for an open goal to seal the game, 4-2 at full time.
