Spalding travelled to Nomads for a friendly and sadly lost 3-2. Spalding struggled to find momentum in the first half and we’re punished by an unfortunate goal. It is fair to say the pitch played its part for large parts of the match. Spalding made some superb saves from keeper Eddie and blocks from Kevin Sawyer and Brian Read. Then Spalding punished the wasteful opponents when Danny Wright played a pass back to the p spot for Cheston Palmer to slot home. This was soon followed by Samuel Willerton trying to head the ball away which did not really work. Spalding did then fall behind to a tap in before equalising moments later to a short corner goal from Pete Wright. They did sadly fall behind to a great run which fooled everyone to leave nomads a virtually open net. There were notabley good performances from Jake Sawyer,George Goode,Rafael read and Mark Rogers. With wingers Max Wright and Reuben Rogers helping massively down the wings. On a normal day there is no question Spalding would have won with Nomads having players double up and 6 players missing for Spalding 4s.
