In a spirited encounter, Spalding ladies 2’s faced off against Cambridge South 4’s wearing their new away shirts sponsored by Inspire Timber Systems and they emerged victorious with a commanding 4-0 win.
The opening goal came at the 10-minute mark when Charlotte Maplethorpe displayed exceptional teamwork, capitalising on a precise pass from Karen Timby to slot the ball into the net.
Not content with just one goal, Charlotte Maplethorpe showcased her skills once again, this time at the 25-minute mark. She embarked on a remarkable run from the halfway line, gracefully maneuvering through defenders to double Spalding 2’s lead.
Entering the second half with a 2-0 advantage, the match saw man of the match Honor Moore step into the spotlight. She made her presence known at the 50-minute mark, converting a pass from Karen Timby with a powerful shot into the corner of the goal, further extending Spalding 2’s lead.
