A depleted Spalding 3s travelled away to a strong Ely City 2s on a wet and rainy afternoon. Spalding started on the back foot with Ely scoring first and with Spalding not being able to play at of there own half, Ely continued to pile on the pressure and they scored 4 more to make it 5-0 at half time. 

Spalding upped there game in the second half and started to put some pressure on. Ely remained in control but with Spalding kept a strong structure in defence and midfield but Ely scored 3 more in the second half to make it 8-0 at full time.
