Report: 2nd XI Ladies vs Cambs Uni 4s – March 21, 2026

Published by Vicky Worrall on

A beautiful day set the scene for a  performance from the Ladies 2s, who secured a brilliant win. Lily Hooker got the team off to the perfect start, scoring twice in the opening 15 minutes, before Kate Amess added a third shortly before half time to give the ladies a strong lead going into the break.
The second half saw an incredible seven more goals added to the scoresheet. Lily Hooker continued her outstanding form, finishing the game with an impressive 5 goals in total. Chloe P also had a superb game, claiming a well-earned hat-trick, while Amy Naylor also got her name on the scoresheet to conclude a 10-0 win to Spalding. Cambridge persisted to the final whistle and gave Spalding an excellent game.
Special mentions go to Lily Hooker for her excellent play all across the pitch today, earning her a very well-deserved Player of the Match, and to Michael Morris for his fantastic support from the sidelines.
Next week sees the Ladies 2s play their final game of the season at home to St Ives — here’s hoping for another beautiful day as they look to finish on a high.
