Spalding made an early trip through the fog to Cambridge for a 10.30am pushback with the sun now shining through on a dry pitch starting strong with lots of possession and creating chances with uni sitting in trying to counter. Spalding finally broke through with quick passing up the pitch before a strong reverse finish into the far netting by Harry Walsh. Cambridge uni equalled the score from a short corner. Spalding took the lead again fron their own short corner a few minutes later from a Stuart Cunnington slide pass into the bottom corner. Just before the half time whistle a fantastic solo run from Will Wright before another fantastic reverse finish with the last touch of the half to go into the half 3-1 up.
The second half started much like the first with a solo dribbling run from Harry Walsh past multiple defenders and flicking the ball into the net to take the score to 4-1. 5 minutes after Jacob Baker scored from a short corner on the second attempt, flicking past the keeper to make it 5-1. Spalding made it six through Will Wright on another short corner with an iconic reverse through the keepers legs to make it 6-1. Uni scored from another short corner to make it 6-2 to finish the game off. Spalding finish the season unbeaten and in great spirits.
