Spalding Men’s 4s travelled to Wisbech for a competitive away fixture on a wet and rainy afternoon and showed plenty of positives despite a tough challenge.
Wisbech opened the scoring, and the teams went into the break  1-0.
The half time team talk allowed Spalding to regroup and refocus for the second half.
Early in the second half, Spalding stepped up the pressure and struck back with a fantastic goal from Ed Sly, leveling the score and giving the team renewed confidence.
Freddie Neal was named Player of the Match after an outstanding attacking display throughout the game, driving the team forward with energy and determination even after picking up an injury during the warm-up.
The younger players impressed, with Isaac Davidson standing out for his excellent positioning and composure on the ball.
Andy Barlow and Alex Myland controlled the centre of the pitch with composure and intelligent passing.
Thanks goes to James Booth and John Clark who stepped up last minute to help the team out on the day.
