Match Report: Spalding Ladies 2s vs March Town 1s

Spalding Ladies 2s secured their first three points of the season with a confident 2–0 win over March Town 1s.

Strong midfield play set the tone early, with Spalding dominating possession and creating multiple chances. Their efforts paid off to win a short corner and at 28 minutes in, Grace Rourke fired a low slap into the bottom corner, giving Spalding a 1–0 lead at half time.

An encouraging team talk spurred Spalding on, and they came out fighting in the second half. Despite several close calls – including a powerful strike from Grace that rattled the crossbar – the team kept pressing. Their persistence was rewarded in the 48th minute when Vicky Worrall converted from a short corner to double the lead.

Spalding controlled the game to the final whistle, earning a well-deserved 2–0 victory that could easily have been more.
