The game started with a strong determined Spalding side with a few chances. Possession stayed with Spalding and good defending worked hand in hand to create a good solid structure. All this contributed towards the first goal on a short corner where Podder hits it into the bottom corner on the last whistle of the half.
After a well thought discussion during half time, Spalding’s defence became more fortified and our attacking skills had improved. Later in the half Ethan Worrall played a through pass into Fred where he was one on one with the keeper and took it to the right and the balled rolled in to make it 2 to Spalding.
At the last minutes of the game Cambridge were relentlessly attacking the Spalding defence however the defence stayed resilient and fought them off up until Cambridge had there last short corner and last play of the game where they missed and the last whistle was blown.
