Ladies 1’s vs Cambs south Ladies 1’s 
Spalding came away with a well-deserved 1-0 victory in a hard-fought clash against Cambs South.
The first half proved tough, with both teams battling evenly and heading into the break on level terms. The breakthrough came in the second half, shortly after Hennie Boekestyn received a green card. Despite the setback, Spalding rallied, and Ellie Holland found the backboard with a well- worked goal, assisted by Charlotte Maplethorpe .
Cambs South were later reduced to ten players with a yellow card, giving Spalding a slight edge in the closing stages. A sensational goal-line clearance by Player of the Match Karen Timby kept Spalding in front and preserved their narrow lead.
The final whistle marked a hard-earned 1-0 win for Spalding – a gritty, determined performance from start to finish to gain 3 points against top of the league.
