Report: 2nd XI Men vs Pelicans 2 – March 08, 2025

On a warm Saturday afternoon Spalding 2s welcomed Pelicans 2s to Glen Park looking to seek retribution for the away leg in November that was closely contested.

The first half was more in control from Pelicans with keeper Rob Callaby keeping Spalding in the game even after going 2-0 down with Spalding struggling to work into the match.

After an inspiring half time team talk Spalding responded, playing much better as a team with a goal from Matt Pottle bringing the game within one goal with Pelicans showing their ability as one of the best midfield teams to hold out for the win at 2-1.

A mention to Reuben Rogers making his 2nd team debut putting in a solid performance and not looking out of place. Man of the Match to goalkeeper Rob Callaby.
