Cambridge managed to find an opening with a good strike from close to the top of the D.
Spalding kept their heads well and again provided tough competition for the first 20 mins, within this time spalding had several ventures into the opposing quarter the most promising leading to a short corner which lead to a vicious David Dorey flick well saved by the keeper.Cambridge’s fitness and organisation became the decisive factor In the second half applying pressure and taking some good chances to add to the scoreboard. When the final whistle sounded the game ended 11-0 with Spalding much happier with the good spells they showed in the first half of the second half.
