Spalding 2s travelled away to Cambridge South 4s. South 4s began the game as both teams were evenly matched throughout the half with Callum Fraviger the only mention with receiving a green card just before the end of the half. Half time, 0-0. 

 
Spalding started the pushback for the second half and began the game well with Tom Pilgrim converting a short corner for 1-0 but South 4s came back with an instant reply to make it 1-1. South 4s kept pushing and got a second goal to make Spalding 2-1 down but they held strong and deservedly got back into the game with Tom Pilgrims second goal of the game to equalise the game 2-2 and Spalding pushed on with equaliser to go in front with a goal from Lewis Burton to make it 3-2. South 4s applied lots of pressure in the last 10 minutes with Spalding down to 10 players twice with Brendan Atkin and Oliver Roy both getting green cards. In the final minutes of the game Spalding had to withstand multiple consecutive short corners to hold on to the win. Full time finished 3-2 to Spalding 2s.
