Spalding travelled to play Kettering 2’s having already suffered defeat at the hands of their third team a few eeeks prior. Kettering scored from a short which was given for a foot outside the d. It was then 2-0 to a deflected goal. They added a third from a reverse stick volley into the bottom corner. The bad luck continued with a goal at the last moment of the half which was well worked. After à disappointing first half Soalding showed more fight after the break and forced a few short corners but to no avail . There were little chances for either team in the 2nd half due to good defensive work from Paul Pearson and Marco Mendoza  along with man of the match Tom Eve. Overall a tough day at the office with a poor first half but a good response by the team.
