Spalding Ladies 3’s vs Bourne Deeping Ladies 2’s
One sunny morning at Glen Park, Spalding Ladies 3s played their first league game of the season. Spalding were strong and showed off their training by passing the ball around the opposition using the width down the wings. Their new formation introduced by vice captain, Lisa Dean, was putting the opposition under pressure. There was many a shot on goal and short corners awarded but Spalding ladies were unable to convert any of these attempts.
Debuting in goal, Alex Baker, made some cracking saves from the hungry opposition. At half time, the score was 0-0.
In the second half, Spalding continued to pass the ball around and MOM Honor Pearson dominated the right side of the pitch, but Spalding were unable to find the touch into the goal.
Bourne Deeping were awarded short corners and able to capitalise from these, managing to score 2 as the game ended in a 2-0 defeat.
Not the score Spalding ladies 3’s hoped for, but there was a lot of positive play to be proud of and to develop for next weeks away game!
