A well fought game as spalding 2’s travelled away to long Sutton for derby day resulting in a 2-1 loss.

Spalding started the game strong playing nicely round the back and playing some amazing 1-2 passes up the pitch allowing for some breaks on goal. This assault continued and when Matt Sanders won a short corner which was well placed into the bottom corner by Callum Fravigar, spalding 1-0. Conceding a goal seemed to kick start Long Suttons attack as they started to trouble spaldings back line. From this long Sutton were able to win a short corner which they were able to convert ending the first half 1-1.

Both teams started the second half even, each team having equal opportunities on goal which called for some great saves by Rob Callaby. As the second half past spalding began to find themselves on the back foot being pressed hard by Sutton, however spalding were able to find cracks in the Sutton defence and with some good passes out the back were able to find themselves in good positions but struggled to find the back of the net. The game ended with long Sutton converting another short corner, 2-1. Man of the match: Callum Fravigar.
