Our own Stuart Cunnington, along with Andrew Scoot, Richard Johnson and Lewis Pearson set out to beat the badminton world record over Friday and Saturday in order to raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association.
Their aim was to last for 30 hours to gain a place in the Guinness Book of Records and they made a brave attempt.
Although Andrew, Richard and Lewis dropped out through injury and tiredness at 5.30 this morning after a gruelling 21 hours, STUART battled on. With the support of his referees, including the brave Helen Jex who was with Stuart from 1am, he made it until 8.30 this morning meaning that he had completed a full 24 hours of continuous badminton. Well done Stuart and sleep well.
