In his letter of 16th March 2014, Mr Hayes regrets that he cannot be with us for the Men’s 1st team semi-final game against Basingstoke in the semi-final of the England Hockey National Men’s Vase competition due to prior diary commitments, but has sent the following message for the team and supporters.
I am sending this personal message to the team and supporters on this very special occasion. What a wonderful achievement for the Men’s 1st team and the Club to have reached the semi-final of the England Hockey National Men’s Vase competition. This is clearly due to the hard work and dedication of all the team and supporters. I wish you the best of luck in the semi-final and I very much hope you reach the finals on Saturday 3rd May.
May I also take this opportunity to congratulate the Men’s 1st team on being confirmed as league champions which will see them move up to the East Division 1 for the next season. I am sure this will be an inspiration to the whole club.
With very best wishes and good luck.
