Over 60 youngsters, the vast majority from Spalding HC were inspired by the coaching from former England player Matt Taylor and his team of international players. The two day camp held at Glen Park on Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd August was held in near perfect conditions and the youngsters worked hard throughout the intensive course. Matt and his team were impressed by the way that the youngsters gelled together and considered it to be the more rewarding and enjoyable course of the season. The Player of the Camp award went to Annie Dalton and she won Adidas kit and Emma Gent also won a hockey stick for her outstanding work over the two days. Jake Chappell, who only deceided to have a go with the pads on the Friday morning, won the goalkeeping award presented by Beston HC’s Ashley Watson. Matt and his team will be back for the fourth time next year and the dates have been set as Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd August 2014
