Match Report 23/3/24 Spalding hosted bottom club Cambridge Nomads to see if they could end the season with three points and clinch a top 5 position. Spalding Ladies 3 0 Cambridge University 4 4 Spalding travelled with a younger looking team and less than they would have liked but it did not prevent them from demonstrating a solid performance. Spalding 3s hosted Cambridge Nomads 3s in the final game of the season. Spalding 3s controlled the game and Spalding got their reward with Glenn Richardson scoring the first of the game. Spalding fell to a heavy defeat against a seemingly well fortified Ely side.  Spalding started the game with a first for the club with a whole team of fathers and sons took to the pitch as the starting XI. Spalding ladies 1s were feeling positive and ready for their last game of the season. Spalding were anticipating a tough game against St Neot 1’s, especially with half the team taken over by colds.   A very young Spalding side missing five seniors travelled to third placed St Ives for what was always going to be a tough game.. Spalding 3s travelled to Peterborough 6s for our last away match of the season. Spading began the game on top with creating the most chances.
