Players Insurance

The club has arranged EHS Insurance cover for members as detailed below :
Figures quoted are the maximum limits for indemnity. (For full details or possible claims, contact the Hon. Treasurer)

Public Liability

Third party (bodily injury or fatality) £2,000,000
Third party property (loss or damage) £2,000,000
Personal Accident
Injury during / travel to Club matches
Fatal accident up to £10,000
Loss / loss of use of limbs / eyesight £25,000
Permanent total disablement (over 104 weeks) £25,000
Non-member cover at hockey / training events (as above)

Special notes

The committee reminds all players and umpires that the club insurance DOES NOT provide financial cover for any injuries that are sustained that are not listed above (e.g. Dental, spectacles, temporary total disablement).
In particular, it is stressed that compensation for absence from work, due to injury as above, is NOT covered. Members who are self-employed are strongly recommended to take out their own personal insurance against injury in this respect.
The insurance cover applies to all hockey club indoor and outdoor activities, and at home or away venues within the UK. Direct travel to and from matches is also covered (provided that the method of transport is not by motor cycle). Note also that registered umpires are included whilst officiating in matches of club, association of league.
